A couple of spots and a tiny lot, and they go early
Lola has a couple of spots dedicated to the restaurant and a tiny lot, and that is the whole supply. A local who ate here on 8/21/26 told us everything was full by the time they arrived. A Google reviewer put it the same way: the lot is small, so be ready to park and walk. Lola opens at 4pm and this is a small tapas room on a busy stretch of Murphy Rd, so if you are coming at a normal dinner hour, plan on the spots being gone. Read the block before you assume a lot is free parking. The restaurant across the street sold its lot to a parking operator and now requires a QR scan to park there, even with a reservation, and there are four PMC lots within two blocks of here, three of which validate for the restaurant they sit behind and one that validates for nobody. Murphy Rd is quietly going scan-to-park. We have not confirmed whether Lola's own spots are still free or whether they have gone the same way, so look for a sign or a QR before you walk in. Free lot near the Murphy Road restaurants
McCabe is a Metro Parks golf course, and its lot is the easiest free parking in Sylvan Park. A short walk gets you to Star Bagel, Edley's, Caffe Nonna, Park Cafe and Lion's Share, the fine-dining spot that took over the old McCabe Pub building on Murphy Road in April 2026. The lot serves golfers, the driving range and people walking the paths or their dogs, and it does not fill the way the street does. Street parking on the surrounding blocks is tight and the neighbors are not thrilled about it, so this is the friendlier option. It is a working golf course, so the spots closest to the pro shop go first on a nice morning. We checked on 9/2/26 and there is no restriction on parking here and walking over to Murphy Rd to eat, which matters now that four of the lots on that strip are pay-by-phone. Park toward the road side if you can, because a golf course lot is a golf course lot and stray balls are your own risk.

Free public lot, but only while the library is open
Metro publishes this as a free public lot, and it is one of the few free spots on this end of Sylvan Park that is actually written down somewhere rather than assumed. The limit is in the same sentence as the permission: free during operating hours. Branch hours are Monday to Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday 10am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm, closed Sunday. Metro does not publish what happens outside those hours, so treat the lot as closed when the branch is. Richland Park itself is right there if you are walking the greenway.

Free but small, and some spaces are reserved
The lot serving Star Bagel is shared with the other businesses in the strip and it is small. Some spaces are signed for a specific business and those signs mean it. The rest are unsigned and free. Read the space before you leave the car, because a reserved one is not obvious until you are standing at the bumper, and the tenants here change. On a weekend morning the lot fills fast. If it is full, McCabe Golf Course is a short walk and its lot rarely fills.

Sylvan Park is residential with no meters, so park free on the leafy state-named side streets (Nevada, Dakota, Utah and friends) just off Murphy Rd and walk to the shops. Be a good neighbor: don't block driveways and mind any posted signs.
