No time limit is posted and there is no QR to pay, but the sign says violators are towed, so it is not a place to leave the car and walk across to a Zanies show. Observed 7/26/26: about 14 spots. The sign still lists Douglas Corner Cafe, which closed for good in 2020 and is now The Eighth Room, so read that list as loose.

Free Zanies lot about a block down S Douglas, but the lot across 8th Ave tows

Turn onto S Douglas Ave off 8th Ave S and go about a block. Look for the sign with the red car reading ZANIES PARKING. Navigate by that sign, not by the pin. Zanies' own FAQ says parking is always free in their lots, in the grassy and unpaved areas around the house at 809 S Douglas behind the Dollar General, and on adjacent streets, with a security guard on site for parking questions. The same FAQ names three places that will tow you: the Shell station next to Zanies, the lot directly across 8th Avenue from Zanies, and behind the townhouse and condo complexes on both sides of Douglas. There are several lots on these two blocks and only some are Zanies'. Sign confirmed on the ground 7/26/26.
