Chopper has its own lot but it is genuinely small, a handful of spaces, so on a busy night assume it is full. Street parking on Stratton is the realistic backup, and no restriction signs were posted on the block where we parked. Read any sign on your own block before you walk off. Observed 8/11/26.

Park free on the residential streets just off Eastland Ave, near the shops and restaurants. Virtually all of it is free; watch for the occasional permit or 2-hour sign on the blocks closest to the commercial strip.

Small lot out front, maybe a handful of spots. There's a sign on the storefront that reads Scan to park with a QR code, and below it, Free Parking. Scan it. A lot with a QR on the wall is an operated lot, and skipping the scan is how people end up billed for parking that was free. The sign doesn't say how long free lasts and nobody publishes it. FatBelly's own site and social don't mention parking at all. Lot Boss is reaching out for the time limit and we'll update this. The lot is small and they're slammed at lunch, so there's a decent chance you end up on Gallatin or a side street anyway. They're open 8am to 3pm and closed Sunday, so this is a breakfast and lunch problem. We're going off a Google Street View capture from March 2025, so that sign is over a year old and the terms may have changed. Read what's on the wall when you get there. Pin is the store.

Free on the side streets, meters right at the corner
Free residential street parking a block off the Five Points intersection, on Woodland, Clearview, and the streets just off 11th. A few blocks right at the corner have added meters, so read the pay station for the rate, the time limit, and the enforcement window before you walk off. There's also a public lot behind the Woodland St shops.

Metro publishes this one itself. Nashville Public Library lists East among the branches that "offer free parking in a public lot during operating hours," and the branch's own page carries Free Parking in its amenities. Hours as of 8/13/26: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday noon to 8pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm, closed Sunday. The permission is bounded by those hours and Metro does not say anything about parking there outside them. The 1919 Carnegie building on N 11th, one block off Woodland, so it is walkable to Five Points.

Free street parking around the Village
Free street parking on the residential blocks around Riverside Village, near the Village Pub, Mitchell Deli, and the Riverside Dr shops. The closest spots fill on weekend mornings, so be ready to park a block back and walk in.

Free shared lot out front, about 50 spots, and free streets when it fills
Noko sits in the Shops at Porter East, and the lot out front is shared with the whole center rather than being Noko's own. The restaurant says there are about 50 spots and that it can fill on a busy night. Worth knowing what those 50 are shared with: a bakery, a juice bar, a hair studio, a Montessori school, a law office and a row of shops, so the lot is thinner than the number sounds. Noko's own advice when it fills is free street parking on Franklin, Gentry, Scott and the streets nearby, with one warning worth repeating, do not block a driveway or you will get towed. Two things that will cost you a space: the center runs a vendor market with food trucks the first Sunday of every month, which is also a Noko brunch day, and the center lists its address as 715 Porter Rd while Noko uses 701, so navigation may land you at either end of the same lot. Noko is dinner-only most nights, Tuesday through Thursday 5 to 9, Friday and Saturday 5 to 10, Sunday brunch 11 to 2:30 then 5 to 9, closed Monday. Terms read off nokonashville.com on 2026-08-18. Free customer spots out front and down the side, and they go fast
Smith & Lentz is an East Nashville pizza joint and brewery on Main St, and its parking is small enough that the shop tells you up front to consider walking or biking. Their own FAQ says parking is available in front of the building plus marked parallel and diagonal spots along the side, and that there are paid lots across the street if those fill. It is a handful of spaces, not a garage, so on a Friday or Saturday night when the kitchen opens at noon and the patio is full, expect them to be gone. The shop also asks plainly that you do not park in other businesses' private lots, block private driveways, or park in the alley. That last one is not a suggestion in this stretch of Main, where the alley is a working access lane. Bus routes 26, 30 and 56 drop near the brewery. Free street parking on Meridian St
Turkey and the Wolf Icehouse sits in a cinderblock building with a big yard at 800 Meridian St, in Cleveland Park. There's no customer lot, so everybody parks on Meridian and the side streets around it. A local told us they didn't see any posted restrictions on the block. It's a residential stretch, so read the curb before you walk off, and keep driveways clear. Folk and Redheaded Stranger are both a short walk from the same blocks, so the street fills up on weekend nights.

They validate, and we are confirming with them how long
New 24/7 indoor golf simulator opening this week at 604 Gallatin Ave, just off Five Points. Back Nine told us they validate parking. They did not say for how long, and we are asking. Until they tell us, treat this as validated with an unknown limit and check the terms when you scan. There is a PMC lot at 604 Gallatin listed as open 24 hours, which is likely the lot in question, though nobody has confirmed that either. Worth thinking about before a late session: this place is open around the clock, so a 2am tee time is a real thing here, and a validation that covers two hours does not cover a car left overnight. Back Nine is at 615-825-7888. Validated is not the same as free, and until we have the limit in writing this row is a heads-up, not a green light.

Premium Parking location P3711, a surface lot off Yeaman near the 5th and Main businesses. Premium published this ladder when we checked on 8/13/26: $8 for one hour, $11 for two, $16 for four, $21 for eight, $26 for twenty-four. Premium lists validated rates here and the page tells Noir Kitchen visitors to validate inside the restaurant on arrival, before starting the session. Premium does not publish what the validated rate is, so treat this as paid parking with a discount you have to ask for. Their own note warns that the code verification text is not confirmation your parking was validated.

That is a development policy rather than Hoppin's own rule, and we have not heard it from them directly. Two things we have not confirmed and are not going to guess at: the lot's official name, and whether the A-frame signs also point residents toward the Oxbow building's own deck, which is a separate structure.
